See the World with Sparks

Rough night. Cold and wet but it is a beautiful sunny morning. Met a blind hiker and a guy planning to hike 6000 miles from Florida to Canada.

The hikers here are a wonderful community. Everyone helping everyone. Back to the trail today. Need to set up camp by 3 to beat a thunderstorm.

Wow...what a day. A friend was stuck on the approach trail and at risk for hypothermia. We were able to get him safely off the trail.

Decision made. I`ll sart my day climbing 700 steps up and around a waterfall then slog thru the mud to help a friend who is soaked and cold.

So much rain and snow that the road to the trailhead is closed. We have to decide if we are going to hike the gruelling 9 mile approach trail or wait a day.

Wow...thanks to my two teenage sons, I am now able to post by texting from my phone. Gotta love technology.
