It is my last morning in the Georgia mountains. Sad to go. Wildlife? I saw an ant, a beetle and 2 birds. Bear tracks but no bears.

I am honored to be part of an incredible community of hikers. I continue to be humbled by the courage, experience and inspiration of those around me.

A beautiful day of hiking followed by a scarey night on Cowrock Mtn. in very high winds. Glad to be back at the hostel.

Started the day being pelted by isicles blown off the trees. Ouch. Up and over Blood Mountain for a total of 11 miles. Black bear in the area.

Cold and windy this morning but it is sunny! Going from Woody Gap to Blood Mountain.

The AT has white blazes on trees to let you know you are on the right track. I found comfort in the white blazes as I hiked alone thru a dense fog.
